I’ll be honest - i’m pretty happy, overall, most of the time. Like anyone, i have things about myself i’d like to fix and grow. But you know, that stuff takes a lifetime… Life isn’t about reaching perfection of self, it’s about enjoying the walk along that road - because in most cases, i believe, we die before we reach the destination. That’s mortality… We have to stop worrying about our ETA or how presentable we’ll look when we arrive at the end of the road and instead stop to pick a flower here and there or listen to the birds singing.
I make about $10,000 a year, which i’m pretty certain is several fathoms beneath the poverty line in the USA. …I could never survive on my own with the income i make… but life’s a compromise, so i live with awesome housemates. I have enough time to do the things i love due to the fact that between my longer-than-average weekends i have an unimportant job that i don’t have to feel any stress about, because it’s inconsequential. I have some wonderful friends and really cool acquaintances, and people all over the world who look up to me and wait eagerly for me to create new things. Sure, it has its hardships, and i would like to have more money, BUT i wouldn’t trade what i do have for any job that sucked up all my time and attention, no matter how much money it paid. Because my life, though somewhat humble, has some real blessings.
The things i am lucky enough to be able to share with you are the things that make life worth living.
